Networked Projects

In the Tenth Plan, Council of Scientific and Industrial Research has adopted a new approach in the selection and implementation of in-house R&D projects in its constituent laboratories. CSIR has created an innovative knowledge networks across & beyond its constituent laboratories. The networked projects in a non-strategic research formed a new experience for CSIR and the country. CSIR has carved out a niche for itself by selecting a group of networked projects with achievable goals and deliverables. The emphasis is on networking of resources and capabilities of the constituent laboratories in multi-disciplinary areas and seeks substantial increases in value through inputs of S&T. These networked projects essentially aims at target oriented core R&D projects and building of capabilities and facilities.

CSIR has taken up 55 projects under Tenth Plan.
