CSIR won the battle for Haldi patent at
USPTO, and thus set international trend of challenging wrong patents based on
traditional knowledge
Also won Basmati patent
Due to the various initiatives taken by CSIR,
formal recognition was accorded to Traditional Knowledge as a distinct
discipline, at international level.
