MoU between NPL India and NPL Teddington, UK

The National Physical Laboratory (NPL), New Delhi and National Physical Laboratory Teddington, U.K. signed MoU “for Cooperation in the Field of Metrology.” The objective of this Memorandum is to strengthen relations between NPL-I and NPL-UK and to promote the exchange of information and technical and scientific knowledge and the augmentation of the technical capabilities of NPL-I and NPL-UK.

Both Parties recognize that this Memorandum will foster the cooperation between India and the United Kingdom in the field of Metrology thereby creating favorable conditions for trade and economic relations.

Scope and Modes of Cooperation

Under this Memorandum the cooperative activities will be carried out in the area of Scientific and Technical Metrology and may include, but are not limited to, such topics of mutual interest as Inter-comparison of measurement standards. The other topics / activities as may be mutually agreed upon may be included. The above activities will be implemented using modes of cooperation such as:

  • Exchange of technical and scientific information, materials and publications
  • Exchange of personnel
  • Implementation of collaborative projects
  • Other modes as may be needed, upon mutual agreement.

Unless otherwise agreed, the parties agree to keep confidential, and to use for no purpose other than those specified in this Memorandum of Understanding, or any annexe hereto, any information received from the other party as a result of activities arising from this Memorandum of Understanding.

The National Physical Laboratory, NPL New Delhi, India and Physikalisch Technische Bundesanstalt, PTB Braunschweig and Berlin, Germany signed MoU “ For Cooperation in the Field of Metrology”

The objective of this Memorandum is to strengthen relations between NPL and PTB and to promote the exchange of information and technical and scientific knowledge and the augmentation of the technical capabilities of NPL and PTB.

MoU Between National Physical Laboratory, NPL,New Delhi, India and M/s Eastern Medikit Limited,3, Dr. G.C.Narang Marg, Delhi – 110 007, India

This Memorandum of Understanding made on 24 th day of March 2006 between National Physical Laboratory of the council of Scientific & Industrial Research India (hereinafter referred to as NPL) and M/s Eastern Medikit Limited, a Public Limited Company having office at 3 Dr. G.C. Narang Marg, Delhi – 110 007 (hereinafter referred to as EML).

Whereas National Physical Laboratory (NPL) is the Premier Research Laboratory in India in the Field of Physical Sciences and Whereas Eastern Medikit Limited (EML) is one of the largest manufacturers of single use medical devices in India and has a global presence in more than 75 countries. And both the entities are of common mind to enter into this memorandum to foster joint cooperation in the field of medical devices and thus create favourable conditions for furthering trade and economic relations.

Objective

The Objective of this Memorandum is to strengthen relations between NPL and EML (herein after referred to as the “Parties”) and to promote the exchange of information and technical and scientific knowledge and the augmentation of the technical capabilities of NPL and EML.

Scope and Modes of Co-operation

Under the Memorandum the Co-operative activities will be carried out in the area of Medical devices and may include, but are not limited to, such topics of mutual interest. The other topics / activities as may be mutually agreed upon may be included.

The above activities will be implemented using modes of co-operation such as

  • Exchange of technical and scientific information, materials and publications
  • Exchange of personnel
  • Implementation of collaborative projects
  • Other modes as may be needed, upon mutual agreement.

Activities to be carried out under this Memorandum shall be agreed upon by the Parties in writing. Both parties shall appoint a person responsible for the coordination of the activities. Whenever more than the exchange of technical information or exchange visits of individuals are planned to take place, such activities shall be described in the Annex to this memorandum which shall set forth as appropriate to the activity, a work plan, staffing requirements, duration cost estimates, funding sources, sharing of IPR and other undertaking, obligations or conditions not included in the memorandum. In case of any inconsistency between the terms of memorandum and the terms of an Annex hereto, the terms of this memorandum shall prevail.

This memorandum states the declared intention of the Parties to cooperate and shall not be regarded as in national / international binding agreement.
