RURAL ROADS: TRACTOR BASED CONSTRUCTION

RURAL ROADS: TRACTOR BASED CONSTRUCTION
Detail:
RURAL ROADS: TRACTOR BASED CONSTRUCTION
Product: Construction of rural roads by using tractor as prime mover for towing the machinery. The agricultural implements and other equipment, which can be towed by the tractor, are used for performing different operations of road construction.
Application: Various road construction operations e.g. site clearance, digging, loading and unloading of material, pulverising, mixing, levelling/spreading, compaction, etc.
Feature: Different operations are conducted with better quality and efficiently, as compared to labour-based methods. The productivity through tractor towed implements is much higher than manual productivity. It provides an extra income to the farmers on use of implements which otherwise remain idle during non-harvesting season. An economy of 16-27% is achieved. All the implements used in this technology are available in rural areas.
