<h2>CSIR DIAMOND JUBILEE RESEARCH INTERNSHIPS</h2>

<p>Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) invites applications from young and meritorious Indian nationals who are creative, have a passion and desire to pursue R & D related to Science and Technology for selection as Research Interns at its various divisions. The internship is meant to be preparatory phase for the young interns in imbibing the spirit of enquiry and learning the tools and techniques of managing issues related to R & D through participation.</p><p>Division-wise activities, number of positions, eligibility criteria and other requirements are given below:</p>
<h3>1) INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY MANAGEMENT DIVISION (IPMD), DELHI</h3>
<p>The mandate of IPMD is to look after the national and the international protection of IP generated at the constituent labs/institutes of CSIR. The division also helps the laboratories in portfolio formation, valuation, licensing and contracting.</p>
<p><b>Position code </b>: DJIA/IPMD</p> <p><b>No of positions </b>: 06 (six)</p>
<p><b>Essential qualification </b>: Minimum 60% marks in M. Sc./BE/BTech in Biotechnology/bioinformatics/molecular biology /plant sciences/Physics/Electrical Engineering/Electronics Engg./ Organic Chemistry/Polymer Science</p>
<p><b>Desirable/additional skills (common for all posts)</b>: Analytical, comprehension and writing skills, working knowledge of Data Base Management System and use of statistical packages. Experience in IP related matters will be preferred.</p>
<p><b>Job requirement</b>: Selected interns would be required to assist the scientists in the various assignments related to IP management. Selected candidates will be given an opportunity to have necessary hands-on training in the area of IP management.</p>
<h3>2) HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT CENTRE (HRDC), GHAZIABAD (UP) - CORRIGENDUM (REVISED REQUIREMENT)</h3>
<h3>3) RECRUITMENT AND ASSESSMENT BOARD (RAB), DELHI</h3>
<p>RAB is engaged in conducting assessment and recruitment of scientists for CSIR labs. RAB maintains large amount of data related to CSIR scientists and experts. The selected Interns would get an opportunity to learn various techniques for the development of DBMS and apply their software development knowledge for developing dedicated application software for live applications.</p>
<p><b>Position code </b>: DJIA/RAB </p> <p><b>No of positions</b>: 02 (two)</p>
<p><b>Essential qualification</b> : M.Sc./BE/BTech in Computer Science/IT or MCA</p>
<p><b>Desirable</b> : Working knowledge of DBMS like MS SQL/Oracle and programming languages like visual Basic/ASP/C++ and Applications. </p>
<p><b>Job requirement</b> : Selected interns would develop DBMS Application Software </p>
<h3>4) INTERNATIONAL SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY AFFAIRS DIVISION (ISTAD), DELHI</h3>
<p> ISTAD spearheads CSIR’s linkages with international agencies for carrying out collaborative and contract research in frontier areas of science and technology.</p> <p>ISTAD plays a pivotal role in identifying and nurturing CSIR’s global partnerships in cutting edge areas of research and development. ISTAD is developing long term plans and programmes for global partnerships in identified sectoral groups of CSIR cutting across the scientific strength of its 38 national laboratories.</p>
<p><b>Position code</b>: DJIA/ISTAD </p> <b>No of positions</b>: 02 (two)</p>
<p><b>Essential qualification</b>: MSc in Physics/ Chemistry/or other relevant allied disciplines in natural sciences or MSc/BE/BTech in Computer Sciences/ IT or MCA.</p>
<p><b>Desirable</b>: Candidates should possess sharp absorptive and analytical skills and should be able to articulate detailed project proposals for multi-institutional cooperation.</p>
<p><b>Job requirement</b>: The job would require considerable interaction with prospective scientist to assess the impact of major initiatives of technological cooperation of CSIR and would involve extensive internet and library searches.</p>
<h3>5) HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT GROUP (HRDG), DELHI </h3>
<p>The various programmes and activities of the Group related to: Identifying budding talent having aptitude and aspirations to work for the generation of new knowledge and technology; Funding of extra mural research; Development of S&T manpower; Nurturing young talents; Promoting excellence through awards and honors; and encouraging interaction among scientists. These programmes cover a wide range of S&T disciplines for every age groups (16 years to 65 years) and are undertaken through a true Team India partnership i.e., with active involvement and participation of eminent scientists and experts from academia, industrial R&D units, S&T departments, etc.</p>
<p><b>Position code</b>: DJIA/HRDG </p> <b>No of positions</b>: 04 (four)</p>
<p><b>Essential qualification</b>: MSc in basic sciences MSc/BE/BTech in Computer Sciences/Computer Engg./ IT or MCA.</p>
<p><b>Desirable</b>: Candidates should possess sharp absorptive and analytical skills and should be able to use computer extensively.</p>
<p><b>Job requirement</b>: Selected interns would be expected to work on design and development of information systems.</p>
<h3>6) DIRECTOR GENERAL’S TECHNICAL CELL (DGTC), DELHI</h3>
<p><b>Position code</b>: DJIA/DGTC </p> <b>No of positions</b>: 03 (three)</p>
<p><b>Essential qualification</b>: MSc in IT, Life Sciences</p>
<p><b>Desirable</b>: Candidates should have IT background and another with life sciences, preferably have management experience</p>
<p><b>Job requirement</b>: Selected interns would be expected to work for programme management, multimedia for scientific presentations, web based information management, Scientometric studies and Technical report generation.</p>
<h3>GENERAL CONDITIONS FOR ALL THE ABOVE POSITIONS</h3>
<p><b>(i) Eligibility</b>: 1st class or equivalent GPA in the above mentioned degree examinations. (ii) <b>Max. Age</b>: 25 years as on <b>20th June 2008 </b>(Relaxation up to 5 years in case of SC/ST/OBC, Physically Handicapped and Female candidates). (iii) <b>Stipend</b>: Rs. 11,500/- per month (fixed), (iv) <b>Tenure</b>: Maximum two years from the date of joining and not extendable under any circumstances. Performance of the interns will be reviewed every six month. In case the performance is not satisfactory, the internship will be terminated with one month¢s notice or one month¢s stipend in lieu thereof. During the internship period the intern would be free to appear for NET/GATE and secure regular fellowship for doing Ph. D. (v) Selection will be based on overall academic records and performance in the interview. (vi) No TA/DA will be paid for the attending the interview.</p>
