Right to Information (RTI) Cell
 

     Mandate:

"The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) is committed to complete transparency and fairness in meeting the aspiration of its stakeholders. The Council endeavors to make available maximum information on the website of the CSIR in consonance with the spirit and provisions of the “Right to Information Act, 2005”. Any Citizen of India can not only have free access to this information but also seek information from the CPIOs of CSIR.

The RTI cell at CSIR HQ comprises the Central Public Information Officer

(CPIO) who is of the rank of Under Secretary/Deputy Secretary; and Deemed Public Information Officers (DPIOs) have been designated for respective Divisions. The Appellate Authority is of the rank of Joint Secretary. The list of CPIO, DPIOs and A.A. is available on the CSIR Website under RTI, which is updated from time to time. The applicants can either send their requests online for information directly to the CPIO or to the APIO. "
